Yesterday was a good day. Got three coats of color on the truck. Sorry, the pictures are not that good. I will take more once I get it out of the booth. I think I have only one run. It is by the wipers
Question. I used Martin senior acrylic paint (basecoaz and clearcoat combined). It looks real good. Should I buff it? Wax it? Or leave as is?
Whether or not you buff it will depend on how it looks, and how you want it to look. If it's dirty or peely and you want to clean it up some, a scuff sand with 1500 and a nice polish job will fix that. If you're happy enough with how it came out, leave it alone. Either way, I wouldn't wax it for at least 6 months. Let it breathe and cure first.
Boy, that's very nice!! I don't know about sanding or buffing but in my opinion if you get it too "perfect" it won't look like the original paint. I'll bet your paint already looks shinier that the original paint was. Good Job!!
My intentions for the wheels are to replace with 22.5R9 tires. I have all six tires. I have four rims 22.5x6.75. I need two more rims that size or 22.5x5.25. 5 lug pattern. I have found some new but, wow! They are expensive. And shipping from the whole way across country is outrageous (Washington to NY)
