That sounds loud. Any stock exhaust videos out there for comparison?

There's no doubt that stock trucks sound nothing like that; it's like comparing a puppy bark to the bark of a Belgian Malinois K9. He running the straight pipe and aftermarket tailpipe. No sound reducing pieces on it. It has to scream when he steps on it.

I finally got a chance to try out my new exhaust setup and am pleased with the results. I used the MBRP race pipe and added their 18" resonator just behind the trans crossmember and then added their 30" muffler behind the center hanger in front of their dual tip catback tailpipe I already had in place with the DPF. I downloaded the decibel monitor the original poster used with his Donaldson muffler( I had looked into using one of the while trying to decide which route to take) I am registering almost identical decibel's at 60-65 cruising down the highway. Not quite as quiet as factory but not irritating or loud! I opted for all T-304 stainless as will be spending a lot of time in the PNW with the salt air environment which swayed me the direction of the MBRP components instead of the Donaldson. Sorry to hijack the thread but thought it might be another option while shopping for some quiet exhaust options. Forgot to add the MBRP stuff is all 4".

I certainly appreciate your feedback. When I delete I would like the truck to be as close to stock quiet as possible.

Download the same decibel app I used to see if we can compare numbers.

What did you do differently? You truck go quieter on the highway than it was at idle.

For comparison my stock truck at idle with phone on center console, no radio, no heat or air running.

For any comparison, everyone has to use the same app. Or buy actual equipment. My app read quieter in the cab with a race pipe than yours does stock.
