I’m trying to seal the deal on an ecoboost F-150. I was just curious what everyone was paying monthly for insurance. Is there much difference in the insurance prices for the 5.0 and the 2.7l. My only concern was the insurance company would see twin turbo and charge extra for that.
2.7L is less expensive mill of the 2, overall cost to replace like for like vehicle vs. a 5.0 would be less. I would venture a guess insurance would be less, but not by much. Few bucks probably. Can't imagine the turbos matter, many vehicles are small displacement with forced induction these days.
Good luck with new vehicle purchase! Be sure to post up pics of whatever you get, we like pics here
Only your insurance agent can answer that question for you. Different locations, different policies and different driving histories all make our situation not comparable to your situation.

These days, many if not most insurance companies not only look at the trim level and engine option on a vehicle based on the VIN, they also pull a soft credit report to determine how much you‘ll have to pay.
Also, your age, driving record, past claims if any, and where you live will also play a roll in what you’ll pay for insurance.
With that being said and you might know this already, get the highest deductible that you’re allowed to get or can handle paying out of pocket before the insurance kicks in after a claim.

The only time I was charged extra for a car I once owned is after the insurance company ran my VIN and found my engine was an HP (High Performance) version.

The price of the vehicle will have a more significant effect on which of those two cost more to insure.
Quotes are free. Call your insurance agent and they will tell you EXACTLY what you will pay for each.
What others pay for insurance is irrelevant to what you will pay for the same insurance...there are too many variables and the vehicle is only one of them.

I'm a little late to the party, but what the others said above rings true with me. For someone to actually have a fairly-definitive answer to this question, they'd have to own one of each that are otherwise the same except for the engine. For someone to have this answer for you in particular, they'd have to own one of each that are otherwise the same except for the engine and they'd need to own them in the same region as you and insure them with the same insurance company.
Not that it helps a whole lot, and I don't know exactly what my monthly cost is (we have all our vehicles bundled together- 2005 Mustang GT, 2016 F150, 2017 Explorer Limited, all $500 deductible, total $240/mo). But, I went from a 180K mile 2008 Ranger to my F150 and for the same coverage it was something like $5 more per month. I was kinda surprised. I'm 38, male, married, haven't had a ticket in 15 years.

What?
$240.00 dollars per month total for all three?
38 years old?
Are all of your vehicles 100% paid for and all you have is Liability insurance?
Please explain how this is possible on three vehicles with a $500.00 dollar deductible on each one because this just doesn’t add up.
