1984 E150 cabin air intake
I’m having an issue with low (almost none) airflow our of all vents. I have verified the motor is spinning the right direction, I've checked all the ducts and blend door actuation (using a wifi scope camera from amazon - $30!), I've verified that the coils/heater core air passage are not plugged, the only thing I have left to try is the outside fresh air intake - does anyone know where this is located? There is a recirc intake inside the cabin for max A/C, but I can't find the one that should be pulling in air from outside for all other modes. Does anyone know where this fresh air intake is located?

I don't have quick access to that year body but on the '92 and later E-Series it's located in the trough where the windshield wiper motor and linkage is installed. On those years you remove the plastic trim mounted between the hood and windshield.
If nothing else follow the blower motor housing in the engine bay---it has to be connected to that housing.

Thanks for the reply - I'll dig into it this weekend. If the location is this same on mine, do you know where in that trough it might be located? Will it be obvious? Or will it be hidden down the side?

The trough I mention is between the hood and the windshield outside the engine bay--this would be the metal panel where the windshield wiper arms attach to that linkage. It should be vented so air flow or intake isn't restricted.
