Error - Trailer Lighting Module Fault See Manual

Ongoing issue with my 2018 F150. Do not experience this issue with my 2016 Expedition.
When towing our travel trailer, the f150 will start generating these messages over and over when lights are turned on or in auto - Trailer Lighting Module Fault See Manual and Trailer Right Turn Lamps Fault Check Lamps.
The right brake and turn signals on the trailer do not work.
However, if I turn the lights off, all is normal.
I have seen the right brake and turn light operate normally for a short while when lights are on, but it doesn't last and I start getting the message.
I am going to get the truck into the dealership prior to next camping trip, but would like to find out if others have had the issue, and more importantly, resolved it.
At least I will be legal when running during daylight hours while towing, which is most of the time.
However, this does shut me down from using the rear observation camera on my travel trailer as it comes one when running lights come on - not when on auto lights.

Sounds like either a wiring fault, or perhaps a bad bulb in the trailer right-side light. If you know someone with a trailer, you might just hook up to their trailer to confirm. I suppose you might have a problem with your truck's trailer wiring, but it sure sounds like a trailer problem to me.

They are LED lights - so they are a complete unit. Also, no issues when using the Expedition with HD tow package. The right rear lights (brake and turn) do work - but only when the running lights or headlights are turned off.

Finally identified the culprit - I think. Have not tested it except in the storage unit. The right rear tail LED tail light module on the trailer failed. Found a similar sized (actually uses the same mounting holes) LED tail light module at an auto parts store and spliced it in. All things cleared up. Of course, the proof will come next week when we hit the road for vacation.

Check the 20a fuse that sits between 2 10a fuses in the fuse box that site in your engine bay if you have a 0252 code on the OBD2 scanner

Welcome to FTE, Dayoooo

That's a mighty old thread you replied to, but hopefully someone can benefit from your response.
