Got the truck back--turned out to be a speed sensor on front wheel driver side showed 'open', code was c0031. $100 deductible on a $274 bill, + a loaner truck. Southwest Ford did very well on this repair, would recommend anyone in the area to try them for work. They also have a Hunter machine that checks alignment as you drive in--said toe was within spec.

Glad it's going to be an easy fix.

Damn. I thought my post was going to win this one lol. When it happened to me, I thought it was a wheel sensor and was shocked when it was the BPP switch.

The SA told me a lot of the similar problems he had seen were due to the BLIS system in the rear taillights, but turned out not to be the problem.

Another thing that was wrong with the dash warnings--the IBC did not work when towing, but the manual lever would. Happy to say replacing the sensor also fixed the IBC problem . Towed about 150 miles today, everything working fine. And the lower settings on the shocks seem much better now--no bottoming on hard bumps.
