Guys, need help with this truck. I have an 86 f150 302 efi. I have installed two new tanks, three new fuel pumps, a new inline filter , new fuel pump relay and a new fuel pressure regulator. This truck sat for a few years before I started this project. All three pumps are running but I have no pressure at the rail. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Put gas in the tank? LOL just kidding you did put gas in them and if so how much in each tank?
I would start back at the tanks looking for gas. You say 3 pumps 1 in each tank (2) and 1 on the frame rail right?
If you pull the line off at the tanks and turn each pump on are you getting gas from either tank?
If not that is the problem, maybe the pickup is not sitting on the bottom of the tanks?
Could try adding more gas but remember if you have to drop the tank(s) because adding more gas did not work you now have to deal with more gas in the tanks.
Once you have gas out of each tanks check to see if it is making it to the pump on the frame rail. Do you have gas in how bout out?
If that checks move up the line to the next spot you can check for gas.
I don't know what this would be on a EFI but you just have to follow the path and where it gets dry is where the issue is.
Someone that knows more then I do should also be by to help.
BTW welcome to FTE.

One thing you didn't change was the fuel switching valve. Pressure from the fuel pump pushes the spool in the valve so the engine is running on the selected tank, and the fuel returns to the selected tank. Some of them also have a large fuel filter in the bottom of them. They look like this and are called a "Ford fuel reservoir"
All right, I took the fuel reservoir off and took it apart, cleaned it out and re-installed. I now have 37 lb of pressure at the rail thanks to your help. I had someone that knew what they were doing set the timing and straighten out some crossed wires that the guy I bought it from had arranged in the order that he thought best, ( I would still be trying to figure that out) so, she now runs but I need to replace the injectors. So many on the internet. Can you guys give me a suggestion on injectors.

The truck was running but not great and the only thing left were the injectors so I ended up ordering a set of re built remco injectors from summit racing and the truck runs good now. I haven't had a chance to drive it other than around the block but I am going to try to get some help setting the bed back on this week and take it to the muffler shop. Then I will run it up the road a bit and see how it does. Thanks for the help.
