HELP! ABS

95 F350 PSD. ABS light flashing on dash...wont go into gear. Had this happen 20 years ago and a Ford tech helped me locate a reset under steering column. Can't find it now. 200 miles from home and need to be back on road soon.

Check for a blown fuse in the in cab fuse panel. I had the light come on in my 97 after pulling a trailer with faulty wiring, and a fuse had blown. If I remember right the light was on steady though.

I do not know of a reset button for abs on these trucks. If the truck is not driving or stopping funky you will probably be ok driving home 200 mi. I would take it easy though.

Turns out it was the 50 amp fuse under the hood that feeds 3 positions on the under dash panel. Now just wondering what caused it to blow....had been driving for about 200 miles and not towing anything.

I am sure you already know that there is a short some where on one of the 3 feeds. Also it could be the fuse just decided to take a dump. Hit any hard pot holes etc ? Farmert " faulty trailer wire " To hitch? - I would take a look there.

Must have been the fuse that powers fuse 5,9,13. Maybe a bare wire going to the tranny?

Had no problems with ABS after replacing the 50 amp fuse under the hood Saturday....until now. Hit a good bump this afternoon and it came back on. Got home and replaced the fuse again...immediately blew when I turned the key back on. According to my manual, the 50 amp feeds positions 5, 9 & 13 under the dash. Position 5 is for air bag (don't have one), 9 is power point, & 13 is anti lock brakes, brake shift interlock, electronic engine control, speed control, stop/hazard lamps, stop sense for electronic engine control. Where do I start trying to locate the source of the short? Especially since fuse blows after replacing as soon as I cycle key back on.

I have what I thought to be a separate issue but wonder if they are somehow related. Last week I had a couple of episodes where the truck died backing out of the driveway and a couple of times taking off from a stoplight....always seemed to happen when taking off after parked or stopped. Then when I was on the road for about 400 miles Friday, several times while driving at highway speed, the engine would hesitate a split second, the wait to start light flash once, and the volt meter would twitch until the GPR completed it's cycle then return back to normal. This happened several times during that road trip but the ABS issue came at the very end but not directly associated with the other issue that I could tell. In today's scenario, I hit the bump, the engine hesitated, the wait to start light flashed, then maybe 5-10 seconds later the ABS light started flashing.
