I understand that sound quality is a very subjective topic. I am somewhat disappointed in the sound quality of the B&O system. Has anyone found the optimum setup for this system on the 2019 lariat? A picture of the settings would help. Also what is the easiest way to upgrade the clarity and bass? Just swap out some better front speakers?

Well, regardless if it’s the standard or the upgraded stock sound system, it’s still a factory system so outside of the tone adjustment controls, there’s really not much that can be done.
The best thing to do is go to the aftermarket with new speakers, sub woofer, and a good five channel amp or a four or six channel amp and a sub amp. Also, sound deadening makes a big difference as well so don’t overlook this.
One last thing to remember is that since you have the B&O system and if you decide to go the above route, you’re going to need an audio interface from NAV-TV.
Some will say that you can use FORScan to tap into the stock system but that also requires you to cut the factory radio harness and I’m not a fan of that at all.
I didn’t care for the sound of the Sony in my Lariat. While I do think the B and O is slightly better they both leave a bit to be desired.
I did did this simple and pretty cost effective upgrade to my door speakers.
It enhances bass, much more crisp highs and it doesn’t get nearly as drowned out at higher sound levels.
I used to to have a $5000 B and O in a previous car. I don’t need audio file level of performance in my truck. This upgrade hit the mark perfectly for me.
Certainly subjective and to each his own but I find the B&O system to have good sound quality for a OEM factory installed audio system and enough that I don't foresee a need to change any component of it. I do notice that playback from the SatRadio channels is not a "crisp & clear" as HD FM or better, the Pandora streaming I mostly do but again, not enough to warrant changing anything. For my listening purposes and level of audio playback, the B&O will be just fine as it is and I suspect is equally satisfactory to a wider majority of Super Duty Truck owners with the B&O optional audio system.
I would encourage anyone with the B&O to give it a few hundred hours of break in. I thought it sucked when I drove it home but it has improved significantly.
I have audiophile equipment in my living room and home theatre and it’s not that... but really, they did change (at least in my case) with good break in.

Pandora and especially Sat radio has reduced fidelity so no amount of stereo upgrades will fix poor audio input.

I concur - after a good break in the system is sounding much better.

At what volume are you listening? I usually listen to stuff around 2 or 3 (Lariat Ultimate) but the clarity improves *dramatically* at 5.
The volume steps are much bigger than I would like so I still end up toggling between 3 & 4 frequently.
I went into tools and upped the bass. changed the other frequencies a bit but I cant remember what I did. It sounds fine for my ears. I dont ride around at high volume or need the pedestrians to feel the bass as I pass. But I do like decent tunes. I did notice that streaming my Amazon through my phone plugged into the USB seemed to sound best. Havnt tried mp3 direct from the ipod yet. I felt pretty strong bass on one of my wifes songs. Jason Derullio or something with a heavy bass line. I listen mostly between 8 and 10 tops. 6 or less if Im carrying on a conversation. For my needs theres no way I would spend thousands or even hundreds to change components.
