Dome Light Won’t Turn Off

Dome Light Won’t Turn Off
1. Dome light wouldn’t come on;
2. Pulled Cover, no bulb, replaced bulb; (this told me the previous owner was too cheap to replace the bulb or something else)
3. Light would not cut off by dimmer ****, closing doors, starting truck, etc;
4. Door Ajar dash light on;
5. Then all of a sudden, Since replacing the bulb the door ajar light goes on and off intermittently, along with the dome light; sometimes it would work by closing the door, sometime it acted like it was on a timer and go off in 30-60 or more seconds;
6. Sometimes starting the truck would cause the dome light to go off;
7. If the light did work ?”correctly”? It would come on while driving down the road;
Folks, I’m ready to break out my assistant, Samual E. Colt. LOL Any help would be greatly appreciated. A picture of the fuse panel showing the relay and fuse would also be appreciated. I will answer any questions to clarify my experiences further.
