New Intermediate Steering Shaft

On the truck I just bought, the intermediate steering shaft (the part between the steering column and gear box that has the 2 u-joints and takes up the movement from the suspension) is clapped out.
There's easily a quarter turn of play in between the two sections that are meant to take up the movement of the suspension.

Easy enough right? We yeah except I can't find the part! I haven't called the dealership yet but so far this is the only part I have found:

$250 seems steep as well. Can these be rebuilt? Where can I look.

Dorman makes an exact replacement. Though it ranges from $280-400 depending on where you buy it.

The Borgenson shaft has to be cut to length....

The Flaming River may need to be as well....

I see the Dorman for other years but not for 1990. Unfortunately i'm not sure which ones from other years would be compatible.

All '87-96 F series and higher have the same Intermediate steering shaft that connects from the steering gearbox to the column through the firewall.

Someone can correct me, but I'm not aware of any different type.

I went to the junkyard and pulled one for $25. They all liked identical from '87 and up.

The 87 to 91 is a totally different style than the 92 to 96/7. I have the Borgeson shaft on one of my trucks. Had to cut a ton of length off to make it fit, but it works fine.

Well darn! I thought they were identical from '87-96.

Ok, well, that cleared that up.

Not totally positive this is correct yet but I found this part number by calling the dealer: E8TZ3B676A
Also found an old thread about it:

Someone mentioned this site:

Looks good but still $250
