Finally pulled the trigger and ordered a 2019 F-250 cc 6.7 Lariat. Went with ingot silver on magnetic two tone. I don't think I've ever put this much research into a purchase in my life. I'm very thankful for the info available on this forum. I researched every aspect and feel confident I made the right choices to fit my needs (but I had to buck y'all's advice and get the moonroof).
Tick. Tock....
The truck will be worth the wait.
I had a 17 that I bought off the lot after a bunch of research. That got wrecked by an oncoming delivery truck.... 4 months in.
Looked at dealers sites for 3 nights fro CA to TX.
Finally ordered and got exactly what I wanted.
Congrats!
Congrats. Hey, if you like moonroofs, then the SD has a really cool panoramic one. No shame in going down that path!
My brother has a GMC 2500 diesel, so this is not in any way pejorative. I'm curious to know why you ordered an F-250 over an F-350.
One piece of advice: check every line of your order sheet. Some lines have prices (the options) and lots of lines do not (included features). I made the mistake of only looking at the options to make sure all my stuff was correct (got what I asked for and nothing I didn't). I missed the color of my two-tone, which was incorrect and shows an unpriced line (the 2-tone option is a cost, but the color is elsewhere and unpriced). I lucked out and caught it somehow. But, just make sure you walk through every line. Correct bench seats ... correct interior color ... and all of the other unpriced items. No surprises!
Congrats! It is tough to wait but on the other hand, you get an amazing payoff after the build-up. I started buying accessories for the truck the day before my order went in! Every few weeks I'd buy a little something and add it to the pile in my garage. That definitely helped to pass the time.

350 is more truck than I need. I started researching trucks Feb of last year when we decided we wanted to get a travel trailer for taking the family to state parks etc. Of course at that stage I was shopping for "half ton towables" but pretty quickly realized (thanks to this site) that I needed more truck than that. No fifth wheel or heavy toys in my future, so the 250 will be plenty.
And as far as checking the order... Yeah. The first build sheet he sent had 2 major items missing and one major no-no included. I triple checked before we submitted.

Good advice to check the DORA, but just because the dealer entered it all correctly doesn’t mean Ford corporate can’t screw it up. My truck should show up sometime next week, but a friend ordered theirs from the same dealer and everything was entered correctly. But once the window sticker became available, he realized it’s a console front seat instead of bench seat as ordered. And Ford corporate sucks at correcting the issue, still haven’t started the build for the replacement truck even though the problem was caught a month ago.
I checked the Ford tracking site and although the engine, cab, interior and exterior basics are correct, the accessories are all wrong. Anybody had this issue? I took it up with my sales guy and he's looking into it

It’ll show all the accessories, but for the most part yours should be highlighted in blue. I still had a couple that were/weren’t highlighted, but once the window sticker loaded it was 100% correct. That’s the better source of truth, so I wouldn’t worry too much until then.

This appears to be correct based on what I'm seeing. All of what is highlighted is correct, but with some things missing. I checked the dealer order form again and discussed with my salesman, hopefully it will be right.
Got my F 250 yesterday. Ordered 4/8/19. It arrived 5/10/19. But with a chip and a crack in the windshield. They replaced the windshield and I picked it up yesterday. When I looked at the spec sheet online there were options in blue or black. I took the info from here which stated the options in the order were in blue. That is incorrect. The blue indicates items you can click on and get more info. Your salesman should be able to confirm for you that your order went in correctly. I also received a print out of my order from the dealer showing each item and msrp/invoice for each item.
I agree that ordering is the best way to get what you want. The wait wasnt that bad. Its worth it. I was pissed off at the cracked windshield. There is also a small dent in the front fender. I have an appointment with them iin a week to have it repaired. Everything else is exactly as I ordered. Good luck with the new truck.

Now I wait...
Congrats on your new SD and I hope your Panoramic Sun roof is trouble free.
