I have an intermittent sticking horn on my 2003 F250 and replaced the horn switch once in the past. I came up with an alternative fix, but wanted to see if anyone can answer my electrical question.
I used a fuse tap and wired in a 15 amp fuse link and an on off push button switch. What I noticed is that the horn isn’t always stuck, so I just replaced the push button switch today with an on off rocker switch.
So here is where I’m lost and could use some help. I have the rocker switch to off, but wanted to know if there is any draw on the battery if that horn switch was stuck? I know the rocker in the off position stops the horn from honking, but I’m not sure if there is any drain on the battery when the horn switch is stuck on.
