This is a common issue apparently. I have 2002 f350 7.3 with no gauges no throttle. Just idles. I followed forum suggestions and checked fuse 45 and also replaced shifter arm as plug had indeed worn through to bare wire but upon completion nothing changed. Could I have burned up throttle position switch? On this model you have to replace entire pedal. Not a problem but dont want to put money where not needed. I will have to rent a truck till this is fixed as I really need truck but at least it broke at home. No I dont have a code reader but was hoping for input. How many things could it be? Thanks for any help
A code reader might not work as the OBD2 plug might be dead with gauges out. Then again, it might work. Either way, I suggest you start a thread in the "1999 to 2016 Super Duty" forum to get some more technical answers flowing. A lot of the folks that know about this stuff don't frequent the "New Members Introductions" forum.
