Are you wanting to keep overdrive for highway use or is it just going to be a putt around off highway vehicle?
If you dont need overdrive just find a 4x4 C6 and shafts for your combo cab/bed truck. And you can either swap columns or do like I did on my last manual to auto swap and just get a floor shifter from B&M.
I am gonna need the OD. I found a thread years ago with details on the E4OD swap and it seemed pretty legit. I just can't find it again... Thanks for the reply!
Well, you will need a computer for an E4OD truck and the wiring for the transmission. I'm not sure if the wiring is present in the manual trucks and just tried up somewhere or not. Then of course a flexplate and a the correct driveshaft for front and rear. Then a shifter and an od on/off button if you want to be able to lock out od.

Yea. So I think im gonna keep an eye out for an automatic and just buy my way in. Thanks for the reply, I had somehow completely neglected to think of the column and tow haul mode wiring.
Poking at this now- the harness is different for the E4od truck.
It's not a lot of wiring, but it's not there on my zf truck, and it is on a donor e4od harness I pulled
out of the junkyard.
