My 2018 f550 threw p2002 for the second time in 15k miles. at 7000 miles or so it threw that code and ended up with a new fart can. Im really trying to comprehend that deleting this truck will not mess with my 85k miles of engine warranty. Where is a good place to look for 550 delete kits....scr and dpf are revesed on the cab and chassis models.
Any modifications to the emission systems will hamper any warranty work. Ford will always say that what you did will void any warranty.
Since its still under warranty just have them keep fixing it. Maybe its just a bad part. I have seen that happen more than once. New part that isn't good.
That's my dilemma but my 550 carries my just about all my tools for me and my crew. Downtime kills me big time. I'm gonna gamble on the warranty, I talked to my servicing dealer already, they know my situation as they did the dpf replacement 7k miles ago...I went with ezlynk, mbrp 4" downpipe back and EGR block off with pass thru. I'll post progress pics as parts come in......shout out to one stop truck parts in AZ. Don is who helped me and seems to know what's good what's bad
Suzuki I hope you don't live in Phoenix. The emissions you'll have to RE-install will be a pain in the azz. They do physical inspections, and if hardware is missing, it's a no-go. I don't have that problem in Northern AZ
Not sure where you are but I have to roll through the scales with my F550 service truck, I probably get pulled once a month for a re inspection and I would cringe if I was deleted and got placed out of service.
I'm in Northeast Ohio. Commerical trucks registered over 10k gvw are exempt from emissions inspection/ testing. I don't not operate beyond Ohio and rarlely haul past a weigh station...not even sure if Ohio's are still active?
