85 2.9l v6 help
i recently acquired two bronco II's. one is 85 2wd automatic that has been rolled but is a running truck with a good motor and trans. the second is a 84 5speed 4x4 but the motor is locked. im looking to pull the running 2.6 from the 85 and put it in the 84. the trucks have the same motor. they are actually only several months apart. i need some direction/info on some how to's on pulling and re-installing the motor. any and all help is greatly appreciated.

The header says 2.9. your post says 2.6, but I believe you've got a 2.8, mechanical parts should be simple to swap, there may be some wires that were changed between the two years, the carb may also be different.
