will running a 4guage ground wire from a 2amp ground distribution block all the way to battery(15feet) work ok?(instead of cutting it and mounting nearby) just figured I gotta run positive wire anyways...figured this would be a sure connection?thanks

Nope, the groud should be put as close as you can to the amp. You could damage your amp by running it to the battery.

Don't use a gound distribution block for the ground unless you really need to. If the location of your amps is far from where you can ground them easy than you will want to use as big of a ground wire to the dist block as posible and mount the dist block as close as you can to your amps to keep the two wires going into the block short.
