Greetings, I purchased a few spare lug nuts for my 2015 Platinum a few years ago and only used 1. I have 5 left, ACPZ-1012-B still in the Ford bags. Sold my Expedition and purchased a new Raptor so I have no use for these. I believe these fit 2015-2019 Expeditions and F150s Shoot me an email and I'll make you an offer you can't refuse. ;^) direct email is jknott(at)erols(dot)com
Once Ernie at the tire store puts his impact gun on your lug nuts a few times during rotation you'll need a few of these... They ruined one of mine and damaged a few others the 2nd time they touched the truck. The relatively soft outer cover distorts and either will no longer fit the correct socket, or the cover will begin to rip. thanks
It's funny you should mention this! I'm sitting at Costco with my wife's 2016 Expy as I type this and that's exactly what happened to me. They want to check your nuts before they try to take off the wheels! 😂
I had not previously heard of this problem, so I'm glad others are talking about this too. I'd like to take the OP up on his offer but I'm gonna need more than five new ones. Guess I'll check out Amazon as well.....
I originally purchased 8 as spares and used 3 in the 80k miles I put on my 2015 Expedition. Most of the damage was from the first time a shop used an impact gun with the wrong (close) size socket. After that, when I had (toy) cars on both my 4-post lifts in the garage and needed a tire rotation on the Expedition I supplied the shop with the correct size socket. Amazing how much better the proper size tools work. Now just trying to find a good $20 home for these 5 still in the Ford bags rather than throwing them out. Take care...
