Window sticker date
I've tried to decipher what the date shown near the bottom of the window sticker is. I found that it is the "invoice date". What does that mean and how does it relate to build date, if at all?

Its the day that when the dealer gets billed for the vehicle from Ford. Some dealers have their inventory financed through Ford Credit, PNC Bank, Fifth Third Bank, Etc. The build date is usually within 8 days after that. So it can be on any of those dates.

I'm trying to use that date to get an idea of how long they have been on the lot. So from that invoice date it was probably built a couple weeks before and delivered within a couple weeks after that invoice date that?

Yes that sounds about right. My special orderedtruck was invoiced on 12/4/18 but didn't get delivered to the dealer until 1/23/19. So it can be up to a month in some cases until they hit the dealers lot.
