TRIAL By Fire!
A few months ago, right before Christmas we had a fire that burned our house to the ground. I had just started with a new company and was traveling. We lost everything we owned. That's when I found out about the limited coverage of our home owner's insurance. I tell you this because my f350 is down and money is tight.
I'm not sure where to post to seek advice so you can email me with advice. The truck sat for 3 months while I was on the road cuz the keys melted in the fire. I came home and had new keys made and got new batteries. The truck does not crank when I turn the key. But I can get it to crank with a remote starter switch but it won't start. I checked all the fuses. I'm looking for help now because the county code enforcement officer is telling me to move it off my driveway or I will be fined. It is a 2005 F350 SRW Lariat with a 6.0L.
For the life of me I can't figure out what would fail just because the batteries drained down. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I have had to take a local job to take care of my wife till she recovers from the fire, so I can't afford a shop. My name is Jeff and I welcome any email that would help. Thanks
Good morning Jeff. Welcome. Please drop down to this forum and post your issue there. This one is specific to your truck. Sorry to hear about your situation but thankful you and your wife are ok. Also, make sure and put where you are located as you did in this thread because you never know who might be close enough to come over and lend a hand. Folks on here are really helpful like this and expect nothing but friendship in return. Best of luck!
I don't usually do this type thing, but perhaps this should be moved down to the 6.0 forum?
Jeff,
There are plenty of folks on here to assist with the truck. All you have to do is go to the correct forum and ask away. Texas is a big state with lots of members on here, so there is a really good possibility someone is close enough to come help in person.
Sorry to hear of the rough ride. Looks like 00Dave got you headed the right direction as I see your other thread moving along. Wish I lived closer (than 1,022 miles), I'd swing by and lend a hand.
Either way, keep your chin up!
