Looking at getting a pontoon boat and definitely don't want to use those rubber clip-on style extended mirrors but **** doesn't make the nice slide over kind for my 15' mirrors. I've been told I could buy a set of F-150 factory extendable tow mirrors and they'll mount and plug right in. What year F-150 mirrors do I buy I was thinking 14' since the expedition was a little behind some of the features the of F-150. None of the F-150 mirrors look like the Expedition ones so that I know they're the right ones
So I lucked out. Found a set of **** slide on towing mirrors at Goodwill for $6. They slide on pretty tight but they look like they were made for my Expedition. They were missing the hardware to attach them but a little bungee cord did just fine. They're part number comes back as fitting a 2009 or newer Dodge Ram. Exactly what I was looking for to tow my pontoon!
This is my 2017. 2015 through 2017 are identical. Check your options though. If you have BLIS, get the ones with the BLIS light or you'll have a warning coming on every time you drive. F150 is not the same and will not bolt up.
In case you want to ditch the bungee cord, part number for the wedge lock hardware is 11403.
I've had these mirrors on other vehicles so knew the way the wedge latches worked but the way they fit these mirrors there's no where for them to latch on.
Thanks to your post, I found a set for $25 on CL. Number on box is #11400. Fit 09-16 Ram 1500 and 09-17 Ram 2500. Had brackets that I modified to work but still put a bungee on.
