Forum Disappearing for a While

Forum Disappearing for a While
On two different occasions over the past couple of weeks I tried to access this forum and all would get is a white screen that said something like the site was too large or something about format. This would go on for several days and then all of a sudden it would work normally. I haven't seen anything on here about any issues so maybe it is just me. I have been unable to get the forum to come up for several days until just now. Anyone else having this problem?
