Welcome to FTE.

Here’s a video that explains it better than I can. However, BEFORE you adjust anything use a paint pen, and mark the box, nut and adjusting bolt so you have a reference on just how much you’re moving it. 1/8 to 1/4 turns THEN drive, if you over tighten it plan on a new box.
A steering stab may help tighten up the feeling of the steering.

So you didn't check any of the parts you replaced beforehand then? Have someone turn the wheel back and forth as you lay on the ground and look for moving tiered ends, chunks etc. Take a pry bar and try moving the joints and a big channel lock to try and move them laterally

@superdutyscaler I did check tire rod ends and replaced them because the bushings needed to be replaced. Also jacked the front end up and shook the wheels there is some play there so replaced the upper and lower ball joints. I’m going to replace the wheel hubs. Cause there is still some movement in the wheel.
Right now I have about 4”s of play before the wheel moves. Crossing fingers it’s the hubs. If not don’t know what else there is to replace....

Take a look behind it while someone is moving the wheel. This way you can actually see where the play comes from.
4 inches of play most likely is your steering box. Not the hub.
Also, take it to an alignment shop. They will check alignment (most likely off) and they will tell you the parts that are bad. If it is a good alignment shop they won't even try to align it when parts are worn out. I've done that and it never cost me a penny. I'd fix the parts, then go back for the actual alignment.

4" of wheel movement is absurd, you would have every joint worn out to even get somewhere close to that play. Also check the shaft from steering wheel to gearbox. The ujoints are also a known problem

4" of wheel play is definitely possible from just a steering box. People keep driving up to a point where it's pretty much impossible to keep it on the road. Check some of the videos on youtube where people are messing with the steering box.
