so, was on the highway doing 75 (speed limit) minding my business when I get bumped by some dude in a buick. unfortunately, I live in a no fault insurance state. I have dash cam footage of the dude driving erratically and swerving out of his lane before I passed him (but I won't post it as it has his plates in it). then about 60 seconds later he bumps me . lucky that I have an 6000 lb. truck or it could have been a lot worse. bumper got pushed into the rear quarter panel and there is a small crease and popped paint also. truck has 4k miles. video shows the bump right at the beginning around the 16:19:40 or youtube 5 second mark. doesn't budge me much.
That sucks...go check his phone to see if he was texting. How does that work in a no fault state? Can he just hit as many vehicles as he wants and never have to pay for the repairs?
I feel your pain at the five second mark, but you may want to get a dash cam that has a second rearward pointing camera. That would really show what just happened.

pretty much like dan d. said. also, it's like 3 to 4 times the cost of regular insurance.

I specifically only bought a single channel as I have a camper shell on the back of the truck and an 8' bed so you wouldn't be able to see much at all. also, I live where it is dusty in the summer and winter is snowy, so the back window of the shell is filthy and you can't see through it. the front dash cam runs on a continuous loop so I have all of the footage showing I was staying in my lane before I was bumped.
Did he say why he bumped you? NASCAR rules don’t apply on the highway LOL I’ve often joked with my wife about bumping people who hold the left lane when the right lane is clear... especially now that I have a brush guard.
