For more certain quality, try to find original steel. Though, that may be difficult.

I purchased a front bumper from NPD in July of 2017. Comparing it to my damaged original one, the NPD bumper is slightly thinner, not a lot but noticeable if you have the original next to it.
It is slightly different, but again not really noticeable unless you really know the differences. If I get ambitious I'll take out the original and put it next to the NPD and post a picture. Jeff '64 F100 CrewCab

The repop bumpers are made in China, so draw your own conclusion on their quality.

Plus, the front bumpers are actually 1967/77. Ford changed the shape of the bumper ends in 1967, but kept the original 1964 part numbers.

No one repro's the 1964/66 bumpers. The bumpers work, but don't fit too well, because the ends are different.

The Styleside contour rear bumpers are the same: 1964/66 F100/250 2WD, 1966 F100 4WD, 1967/72 F100/250 2WD/4WD & F350; 1973/77 F250 4WD (High Boys).

1973/79 F350 Regular Cabs on the 140" wheelbase.

The rear bumper brackets are the same 1964/72 and are repopped. 1973/79 rear bumper brackets are different.

Thanks number dummy. Maybe I’ll just get a rear bumper. I’ve have an oem front I was going to replace because it’s bent and twisted I’m sure with enough time it can be repaired.

If you can stand the price having your bumper rechromed is the best way to go. Those folks can straighten out just about anything and make it like new. I'm lucky there is a plater here in town so I didn't have to pay any shipping but they made my bumper like new again.

Im not going with Chrome I think I’ve settled on painting them satin black like the grill or maybe matching them red.

Does anyone have a picture of how the 67-72 style bumper fits on the ends against the fender?

I got both front and rear at LMC. Both look great and your average Joe will not know the difference. Are you doing a period correct resto or I nice driver? Mine is a driver and they look great.

Driver. What do you guys think satin black like the grill or colour matched red. The stack and gauge cluster are also in satin black.

I had bought, from LMC also, the “premium” front bumper they offer for a few bucks more, for my old 59. Cannot vouch for weight, but quality is at least to me acceptable, as it was still in fine shape after sitting outside on the truck for ten years with no rust issues, and the fit was fine. But buyer beware, because things change and usually for the worse, over time.

I'd go with black on the bumpers.

Ya I think I’ve already decided on the black but I was second guessing myself.
