Coolant Temp vs EOT from OBD2?

Looking to check the delta between the two temps to see if the oil cooler needs cleaning or replacing.

Can this info be read from he OBD2 port (which did not work with my scanner) or is something like the ScanGuage II needed?

Thanks

Not sure why your scanner wouldn't at least see those temps. But yes, I think the only way to see the true temp would have to be through the OBD2.

If you have an android smart phone you can download Torque (or for $5 the Pro version) or Forscan (which I think will run on IOS as well as windows), and buy an inexpensive bluetooth OBDII module, and you'll gain access to a lot more data than just those temps...

I'm not sure why the Live Data is so limited. I'm using an Innova 3130 OBD2 scanner, but may have to get something else.

I use the ScanGuage 2 and prefer the convenience of having the gauge always reading my important parameters.

If you're like me and have a drawer full of old phones, you can do this.
