2015 f450 4x4 with 40k miles. I have a slight bumping in the front when traveling slowly on gravel or bumpy roads. I can feel it slightly in the steering and can hear it. Truck drives fine. I changed all shocks to bilsteins with no change. Can steering stabilizer cause this? Truck is not lifted and has stock size tires.
It drives fine? That sounds like possibly the bearings are shot, or even ball-joints are done for. I would guess bearings first though, since it drives fine.
Had A new 2012 f-150 that had that suspicious sound, only when it got cold..say below 30.Was really annoying. Ended up being the steering rack. Was replaced under warranty.
You could feel it coming through the steering wheel.Had it at the dealer ship countless times. Each time they would tell me it was something different with the front end. Truck had 20,000 miles.I now have 2011 f-350, no problems, but when I was researching my f-150 I saw that the superdutys were having this same problem.
