Is a track bar relocation bracket necessary?

Just had my 2.5" levelling kit installed by my mechanic. It consisted of spacers for the front and shock extenders. He was asking about relocating the track bar. Is this required for a 2.5" level? I havent had it aligned yet.....just waiting to see if I need more parts??!!
2019 F250
Thanks

Yep - you need it to center the axle and return the geometry to near-stock.

I would definitely get the axle re-centered.

Your "mechanic" should be answering this question for you....
But, Yes, like others said, it's better to have it.

no it is not, but you better have an adjustable track bar.

I didn't have one for over a year on my last Super Duty and it was fine just looks kind of silly. One of your front tires will stick out noticeably farther than the other since the axle will be off center.

It is necessary to center your axle. If the offset axle doesn't bother you then you'll be fine without it. The larger the leveling kit the more noticable it will be. I would recommend it for 2.5 and up kits.

I wouldn't touch the stock track bar bracket unless you changed the pitman arm.

Go with a good quality adjustable track bar.

The track bar must remain parallel to the drag link, as it was engineered to be from the factory.

You can get bump steer issues if they are no longer parallel

A mild lift doesn't usually change out the pitman arm. If it is dropped, then the track bar bracket must be dropped also..

A track bar bracket can do 2 things. Drop it, and/or offset it. The track bar brackets for 2.5" kits are usually only offset (to fix the offset issue). They are not dropped, which means they will still be parallel with your draglink, which means you do not need a drop pitman arm.

I went with a bracket for my 2.5" kit and it's nice to have your axle re-centered. You can get an adjustable aftermarket track bar if you prefer, but often you end up with a spherical heim joint instead of the factory bushing style joints.

I bought mine w 2.5 ready lift but no trac bar bracket.... axle was 1" over on drivers side . Bought the readylift trac bar relocation bracket and installed now axle is to the passenger side 1" ..... its very frustrating and my steering wheel clocked 90° right like wtf is with these ****ty kits .
