My old truck is a mess of parts and the more I look the more of a mess I find. LOL So I was looking for what kind of carb I had and found it had For on one side the no. 94 on the back and model 91-99 of the other side.
This video more or less summed up the history of these old Ford carbs.
Seems I have a 1939-1941 carb made by Holly. Not a 47 Mercury at all but it works and I can buy a carb kit. 59A-9590, which has another box inside 15302BJ 14 000. No wonder this is all confusing.
After a lot of looking I found this guy has more videos about taking this carb apart. When I checked out his web site he has every part you could ask for. Lots of jet sizes, all the screws and other bits you just don't get in the rebuild kits. If you are going to rebuild yours this is a great place.

When you type 8D together, you get that smilie face, unless you disable smilies in text...as I did.
