Does anyone know how to program the doors to lock automatically a short time after putting the truck in park and turning off the engine? Maybe after the fob leaves the vehicle? I live in an area where this would be helpful. It seems like something that should be possible using forscan codes. Passive locking, timed stationary auto lock? I have a 2017 Lariat. Thanks.

Ummmmm, nope.
Looks like you’re stuck with hitting the lock button on the fob itself or hitting the lock button on the inside or outside of the door when exiting your Lariat..
First world problems. Lol

My last keyless vehicle (a Mazda) had this feature, and it's something I kind of miss on the Ford. With an ordinary ignition, you already have the keys in hand as you turn off the vehicle, and get out, so it's easy to just hit the fob. With the Mazda, I turn it off, got out, closed the door and walked away, as soon as the fob (actually card in their case) left range it would lock the doors automatically. No having to get it out of your pocket to lock the doors. When you came back to the vehicle, it worked like the Ford does, touch the handle, it unlocks, pull handle to get in. A truly keyless experience. With the Ford, I either have to key the key out to lock the doors (a non-keyless experience) or I have to turn around and consciously press the lock button (which is what I normally do now). But either approach is a deviation from the muscle memory of every other vehicle I've owned since my first vehicle with power locks of just closing the door behind me and walking away.
I agree it's a first world problem, and there's plenty of bigger issues out there in the world, but if somebody ever found a way to enable this, I for one, would welcome the solution.

One feature I wish they had and maybe Ford will adopt this in the future for Lariats and above and that is the LED lighting turning on in sequence while approaching the vehicle like some of the Lincolns do.
I just think it’s very cool.
