I have a really bad lifter tick in my '93 F-150 302, and i know its only a matter of time until everything else goes, i haven't driven it since i noticed the tick. My buddies suggested i put a new cam and whole set of new lifters, along with this i want to tear out the EFI that came on it because its garbage and put a 4 barrel carb on it. If anyone could steer me in the right direction to a good cam or intake it would be much appreciated.

The EFI that came on these trucks is dang-near bulletproof. I recommend you stay with the EFI you already have. There's a reason why you have not been able to buy a car with a carburetor for over 20 years.
