One of my 73s started smoking. There will be smoke at idle and when shifting. Nothing under load. If i rev without being under load it smokes as well. It appears to have a slight blue tinge when shifting. At idle when outside it has more of a diesel smell now. Any thoughts on the cause and a cure?
1 quart between oil changes is about 10x slower than my 86 burns/leaks oil.
Since the truck idles fine in the video I would be hesitant to call it air intrusion. You could drop the fuel filter when the truck is cold and look at the level of the fuel. If it's low that is due to air intrusion. Is it difficult to start? If you drop the fuel filter replace/empty it and fill it with ATF. You can then run it for a few minutes and shut if off over night. The ATF acts as a detergent and will clean out your IP and injectors.
