got a question about the oil sender on 94 super duty with the 7.3idi turbo. i see the sender on the turbo is this the only sender it has im guessing or is there one somewhere else? think im gonna just put a mechanical gauge on it and not fool with the electric one.

 

Yes that's the one, I recommend you use copper line for the mechanical gauge, the plastic stuff gets brittle over time

if you do not want to mess with the port with the factory sender, you can put the mechanical line down in one of the capped off ports near the oil filter housing.

 

Personally, I'd use 3/16" Aeroquip hose like used in the trucking industry to air and oil pressure gauges. A length of soft copper tubing is known for cracking sooner or later due to vibration or wearing through from rubbing against the firewall, etc.
