Our truck is fitted with a rear stabilizer bar as part of the factory camper package option. It helps control truck roll when carrying a truck camper or similar load. I suspect it offers little impact on trailer towing.
Has anyone installed a rear stabilizing bar? Do they help with sway when towing? What should they really do? If anything.
I think you're referring to an anti-swaybar. And yes, as the name implies, it reduces sway (body roll) ... but it does not affect trailer sway-control when bumper towing. Here's a thread which may provide more useful info ... https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/1...-sway-bar.html
Thanks, I was not sure if one would help or not. I have a 24 Foot enclosed snowmobile trailer. Fully loaded it is probably just over 6K lbs. I know that is not a lot of weight for a Super Duty but it tends to make the back of the truck sway. My first time pulling it with this truck was just a couple of weeks ago.
