my 07 expy makes a clunk of some sort when am straightening out of turns, i think for the most part, I have checked under, like struts, bushings, steering, etc and dont see anything obvious that sticks out....it sounds like a semi-metallic dampened clunk of some sorts, also with a squeal to it low pitch.... like something is snapping into place or rubbing or something....any ideas?

 

Drive train universal joints?

 

Yes u-joints are a possibility, but also if it's a limited slip rear end this can be a sign that you need to change the fluid and to make sure to add friction modifier at the same time.

My '07 is making the same noise. Did the fluid change fix it for you?
