'96 Trouble Code
I have a '96 F-150 5.0 that is getting the "check engine" light. I had a friend check the code and it came up "EGR flow insufficient". We checked the valve itself and it doesn't seem clogged. Has anyone experienced this problem before and what should I check. Is there a sensor further down the line that checks the EGR that could be bad? Any help would be greatly appriciated. I'd like to try to narrow things down before I have to give it over to a dealership.

do you got vaccum at the line?........Dave1996 F150 5.0 5SP 2WD K+N Kit,Gibson swept side duel exhaust,JET module,Powertrax Locker,Shorty Headers ported to the heads,Billit short throw shifter,Sportech 1" rear sway bar w/poly bushings,more to come,too much to list

You need to make sure that the EGR valve is opening and closing when it should. If it is not moving, it could either be a bad vacuum line (or supply) to the valve or that the valve is froze up. Good luck.
