Hello everyone, i have been dealing with a very stubborn 6.0 this truck will not start. I swapped the engine after the previous one over heated and have had no success getting it to start! There are no codes, i have checked fuel pressure (50psi), and oil pressure with a obd scan gauge and a mechanical gauge, i checked at the back of the engine (where the icp sensor is located) and on the oil rail both read above 1500 psi, im only getting 45-60 rpm while cranking, but ive omd out the sensor both cam and crank and compared them with a good running truck and both matched up ficm voltage is also good i believe sitting at 47 volt, i triple checked fuses and swapped wiring harnesses, i also compression tested the engine a little low at about 360psi average none really off!!! I also swapped ficms with multiple good ficms, my next guess is either pcm or the ipr valve, we eventually got the engine running on its own power by completely closings the ipr vale with a scan tool and a bit of an ether boost but other then that its a no go!! Thanks to anyone with any help!!

 

If your truly only getting a 45-60rpm cranking speed that is your issue. That's far too slow to start. Does the engine sound like it is cranking slow?

 

Thanks for a quick response! And it sounds like its got a good cranking speed i got a battery cart hooked up to it as well, i swapped out the crank position sensor for a known good one and chased the wires back to the pcm the omd and it omd good, you think it can be the pcm
