No complaints at 4K miles. 4L is a smooth engine, if you carry a lot of weight it gets a little sluggish. With the IRS the ride is about a billion times better than before, Im sure "off-road guy" will disparage the new suspension for reasons I dont get but give me the IRS any day.
I love my 03 Explorer. I have about 5K on mine now and have had no problems. I had a 98 sport before this one and I can't believe how much better the 03 rides, thanks to the IRS.
The 4L runs good too...I'm looking forward to see how the 4x4 does in the snow.
some pretty good deals goin on right now, incentives and all
They drop an extra $1,000 off after you deal
just because you own a n explorer
Just makes you think what they really could sell these things for!!!!!!!!!
I heard awhile ago that the Explorer is the most profitable per unit of any Ford and the 2nd most profitable line (F150 being the most profitiable line). Not sure where he got his info from or how accurate it is but it makes sense. If it's true I'd say Ford can sell Explorer's pretty cheap. Maybe someone else might have more info on this, or more uptodate info?
