I originally had found the VIN number for my 1953 f100 on the top of the frame just forward from the passenger side front cab mount. This is where most people state that it is located and mine was there albeit very hard to read.
Over the weekend i decided it was time to blast my frame and paint it so Saturday i started and finished it on Sunday. Lot's of work but it turned out great. Now the interesting part.
While i was blasting the frame i found another VIN stamping on the passenger side rail about 2' behind the batter box location. It was the same number (thankfully) but it was much easier to read as the stamping was more pronounced. My truck is a canadian VIN so it could be different than in the states but i wanted to put this out there for anyone else looking for their VIN #
In the first picture you can slightly see it in the center of the pic near the cross member.
