I don't know if you could replace the bushings, even if you could find some that would work.

I don't see why it couldn't be done. It's the same idea as installing bushings on the carb plate rods. You would just have to find, or make the brass/bronze bushings. Then enlarge the holes in the brackets to accept the bushings. If you're set on keeping the original linkage, it could be done.

OBSOLETE RELIABLE PARTS in Nashville GA has 3 = 229-686-5101.
NOS PARTS LTD in Waxahachie TX has 4 = 972-937-2201.
When the 2nd digit of the prefix is a zero, it can also be typed as the letter O, but...
All of the above are listed as D0TZ .. Usually you can find more parts with the letter O.
