Wow! Much better! What did you use to clean? I have found simple green in a spray bottle to work great on degreasing engine bays. I have a bottle of simple green and a bottle of water to rinse after. But whatever you used work great!
After some wheel bairings went out over the weekend my baby is in the shop. Looks like the spindle may have been trashed in the process. I wish I wasn't so busy and could have done it myself but it needed to be fixed.
I used a spray bottle with dish soap and rinsed with water. Then wiped everything down with microfiber cloths from the dollar tree. I was trying to make it look not so bad. Lol
That sucks. Do you have a good mechanic that knows your truck?

Unfortunately no. I took it to Steve's auto repair in slc and I am hoping they are good. I have a great mechanic for newer vehicles but he doesn't like working on the older stuff.
I was going to call around here at the smaller shops to ask if they have anyone that knows how to work on my truck.
Good idea. I'll let you know how these guys workout. Some friends have had some success with tunex over in fort union with their older vehicles but they are booked out a few months. I wanted to use them but needed to get this done. You may give excel automotive a call. With yours being an 85 they may work on it. Very honest guys who do a great job.
