Missing the part in the picture for my 8BA Flathead... Anybody have one they would sell or know where I might find one??
(Stoled the pic from a 2 year old thread, OP was looking too. Don't know if he ever found one..)
I seem to recall that part number 7505 (bellhousing) was different for a 3 speed trans f100 vs 4 speed trans for f250 f350 and up? Maybe the dust covers are the same?.
I know i had a extra complete bellhousing a while back that i sold but dont recall the part # I recently picked up a 53 f250 that has a yblock in it. If i get to it I'll be putting a flathead v8 back in it. Gotta look and see what bellhousing ive got. I'll see if an extra cover shows up too.
So the dust cover fits 1953 F100 through F600 239 flatty V8.

Parts catalog doesn't mention M/T type, so TAAC-7564-A fits them all.
I sold a 53 F100 to a local guy a few years ago. When I first bought it it came with a bed full of parts. Here is a photo of some of those parts including a bell housing and dust cover. I know that the guy who bought the truck from me had no use for these parts so if they are what you need then let me know and I can see if he still has them.
Hard to tell by the pic but isn't the bell and dust cover for a 6 cyl?
If im understanding this, the dust cover for the 53 239 3 speed or 4 speed is a one year part.

Could be Kevin, the truck had no engine in it when I got it and the trans did not look stock.
All my trucks have later model drivelines so I am not well-versed on the OEM stuff.
Thanks Guys.. Yes, if I'm interpreting this correctly the '53 Flathead Bellhousing and Dust Pan are unique. The on in the picture looks to be 6 cylinder.
The one I'm looking for is "half moon" shaped for lack of a description. The others are all "pan" shaped, if that makes sense...
You and me both! i found one but it had to be with another bell housing so i have an extra bell housing with no dust cover.
I bought it on flea bay without looking close enough at the picture to realize that the cover was gone. Bell is TAAC7505A.
You're best bet is going to be to look for another bellhousing with cover. I can't find any part number stamped on my good dust cover to be able to find one at the swap meets. They look so close to everything else.
