56 OEM Radiator

I'm was planning on using my stock radiator for my truck. It's still good with no leasks and very little fins are bent. Anyone know if it will keep a larger V8 cool enough or do I need to go with a new one?

I can tell you I had a 4 core out of another truck. cores looked good, were clean no build up and thought I could get it rodded out. Rad. shop told me by the time they had time into it and it could not be fixed, I would have time and money invested into it. Could have been just a line just to get me to buy a new radiator. I would hook it up and see if it cools. Most important do not put water with chemicals in it. Hard water will get you build up on the cores. Also use a shroud so you can get the most of your cooling system.

Thanks guys for your input. I think I'm going with a new one. By the time I get it cleaned and painted, a new one might be the best route. Plus I can get a tranny cooler built in with a new one.
