My drivers side mirror was scuffed this weekend. I have a 2018 Lariat with cameras and power telescoping. The damage is to the lower black plastic and clear lens. What needs to be done to replace? Whole mirror, or is there an outside trim and lens replacement? Any idea on cost?
Just replaced my signal light lense on the passenger side mirror after it lost a battle with a rock. Damn that oem replacement is expensive. Dealer wanted $145CAD. I told the dealer not to replace it and of course they just went and replaced it. Because of that, I got the price down to $100 CAD and they didn’t charge me for install. Your best bet is to look online for a replacement.
Not sure if you can buy the parts from Ford separately, I know the damn turn signal light is around $100 and I'm refusing to pay that much for now. Here is a video that might help show you how it comes apart...it's the closest I've found to SD mirror.
Update to replacing my passenger side clear lense. Not even two weeks later and I took another rock today and cracked the hell out of the drivers side one now too. Ugh. Might just try aftermarket lenses since these OEM ones don’t like rocks from passing heavy vehicles. Junk.
All I can find is Recon ones for 179/pair and factory replacement for $112 each. I’m leaving it cracked for now and just going to add glue. Not replacing these things every couple weeks. I am working out on some crazy roads for the next few months.
