It finally made it into the garage. I have yet to attempt to remove the bed for the under bed tank install.
I am not looking forward to cutting the steel plate off the floor, or trying to remove the bed bolts.
yeah, those bolts, if they are the originals, usually don't survive. Have a sawzall, or some kind of cut off tool handy! You need to build yourself a lift rig for the box.
Pat, I figured some ratchet straps, 2x4s, and my engine hoist will take care of the lifting. The bolts are what worry me the most.
I am almost curious if it can be done without removing the bed. I know it would be awkward to get to a few spots, but is it impossible?
You know, kinda like how it's easier to change a newer style truck fuel pump by removing the bed, but it's not impossible to do it without removing it.
What are your thoughts?
