Reverse Camera

I have a 2019 and I am having an issue with the rear tailgate camera. If it is bright outside and I back in a darker area, like my garage, the rear camera goes black. To the point where I can not see an image on the screen. If I back in when it dark, the rear camera works as expected.

The camera is working in both situations, it is just that the when the truck thinks it is light out so it does not adjust the settings to allow the camera work correctly. Anyone else have this issue? If so any fixes?

I think what I would try is throw a piece of paper or something over the light sensor on the middle of the dash, this should make the truck think it is dark out.
