Defiantly yes on the vents. If you choose to go with a Topper, order it with Screened Windoors and install a Fantastic Vent in the Toppers Ceiling. You can run the Vent off an Up-Fitter switch.

Our kids chose Nash. We already have a Yellow American Lab named Keen. The current dog doesn’t like to go for rides so he’s never been in the truck. Going to start this guy early.

I found these to be the best as they have a velco/adhesive option to attach them to the door, as opposed to most others on the market which require you to jam plastic tabs in between the door glass and the weatherstrip.

Also worth noting, I have no dog protection whatsoever in my leather interior Volkswagen, and there has been no damage done to that vehicle at all even from my dogs often very sharp nails. But on the truck I just wasn't taking the chance lol

You probably know this already, but especially with a puppy be careful when you open the back windows or the windows on the camper shell if you get one. I've had a dog jump out at a stop light before and I know someone who's dog jumped out while the vehicle was moving.

Now I keep my dog in a harness with a seatbelt attached to it any time he goes in the car

I added optional Pet Screens when I ordered my Leer 100XR. They're definitely much more robust than the standard screen and will hold up to the claws and paws. The pups made short work of the standard screens on a previous Snugtop Rebel.
