Greetings from NJ

I used to own an old F-150 which got eaten by rust and by neglect. After a few years of 'sure, I'll just get a truck from U-Haul or from Lowes when I need it' I decided that it sounded pretty clever but didn't work all that well.

So I did my usual and searched carefully for something that was actually suited to what I was going to use it for, though I really coulnd't justify spending a lot of money on something that would get used a dozen times a year... maybe.

Then I just as carefully tossed all that aside, decided I wanted a Super Duty with a 7.3 diesel and went looking for one of those.

The small detail that the youngest of those is 16 years old and that it seems that Ford still has a stranglehold on 'rust holes through the frame in less than 36 months or your money back' made the search a little more difficult than I was expecting.

In the end, I found an ex-church-truck from 2000 ... which need some electrical love, but at least most of the steel is still where it should be. So here I am.

Welcome aboard!

I like your rationale for deciding on a 7.3 full-size.
