FWIW, that's the carrier bearings. They are hammered! The TrueTrac is awesome, i've run them in open track racing, two F150's and my F250 for the last 5 years. I've been using Redline heavy shock proof fluid albeit it's not recommended for the truetrac, but this fluid is soooo thick it works well and provides the highest level of lubricity for bearings.
